On Tuesday 17, October 2023, the Nigerian Institution of Estate Surveyors & Valuers (NIESV) embarked on a crucial diplomatic courtesy visit to His Excellency, Dr. Al-Hassan Conteh, the Liberian Ambassador to Nigeria. This significant visit was marked by fruitful discussions and a warm reception, with the President, ESV Johnbull Osarumen Amayaevbo, PNIVS, RSV, pslc leading the delegation.
The visit was warmly received by the Liberian Ambassador, who appreciated the timing of the meeting. The discussions highlighted the enduring bilateral relations between Nigeria and Liberia, focusing on mutual respect and partnerships across various sectors.
The Ambassador expressed interest in collaborating with NIESV due to the Institution's expertise in Real Estate. According to him, Liberia has set up key institutions, including the Land Reform Commission, making this collaboration particularly relevant.
Setting Up Estate Surveying and Valuation: NIESV offered its support to establish the Estate Surveying and Valuation sector in Liberia, “this will necessitate the NIESV team to go on a study tour to Liberia to understudy the system and proffer professional solutions to your Government. We will also train your citizens in this noble profession, to equip them to contribute to the development of your economy”- NIESV President.
The Ambassador assured that the courtesy visit would yield positive outcomes and pledged to facilitate collaboration between NIESV and key Liberian government agencies.
The visit signifies a significant step towards strengthening diplomatic and professional ties between NIESV and Liberia, highlighting the potential for fruitful partnerships and knowledge exchange.
